BLACK SABBATH REUNITING ONCE AGAIN
Forty two years after they first got together, the original lineup of Black Sabbath is reuniting. The iconic metal band, fronted by Ozzy Osbourne, will be releasing new music and going on tour, confirms guitarist Tony Iommi. "We're really looking forward to it and I think the stuff we've been writing is really good," he said. "It's more back to the old original stuff." Keeping the secret has not been easy, added Iommi, who started writing new material with Osbourne in June. "It's all been very hush-hush. Ozzy's been the worst at trying to hold it back. He's doing a lot of TV and he's being asked stuff about a reunion and he's going, 'Well, I never say never.' He told me, 'I don't know what to say.'" Black Sabbath last reunited in 1997 for Ozzfest and remained together until 2006. The band's debut album, 1970's "Black Sabbath," went platinum. Its second, "Paranoid," released the same year, sold four million copies and spawned the hits "Paranoid" and "Iron Man."

RIP Former Motorhead Guitarist Michael “Würzel” Burston
Former Motörhead guitarist Michael “Würzel” Burston, who joined the legendary metal band in 1984 and performed with them for 11 years, has passed away at the age of 61. Burston apparently died from ventricular fibrillation, caused by cardiomyopathy. Motorhead has issued the following statement regarding the passing of the band’s former guitarist Michael “Würzel” Burston:
“We are greatly saddened to confirm that our long-time friend and comrade Würzel died Saturday at his home. Würz was pouring a Guinness and cracking a joke when he succumbed to a heart attack; at least we know he went with a smile. Lemmy Kilmister added: “Wurzel was my friend and my brother and he’s never going to laugh with me again or bitch me out or do….anything. And that truly and cosmically SUCKS. RIP Wurz. Godspeed. Good man.”

Went and saw Pentagram play at Europa in Brooklyn last night.
Bobby Liebling's stage presence is like no other. Skin and bones and a pair of eyeballs that smack you the face everytime he sings. Too good!

Wednesday night we saw Rob Halford open for Ozzy Osbourne at Madison Square Garden.
Ozzy ripped it up with a set list which included both Ozzy & Black Sabbath classics "Crazy Train", "N.I.B.",
"War Pigs", "Rat Salad", Iron Man", "Paranoid", "Mr. Crowley"....the list goes on.
Ozzy was coherant, full of energy, and absolutely shredding!
